What's the best treatment to get the nasties out of the LR prior to placing it in tank?

High salinity? fresh water? carbonated water? Use all base rock?

One LFS uses high sp 1.7!!! One uses carbonated water.

Your opinions and experience please?

Is this going in a new tank? If so put it all in and let it decompose, might even aid in the cycle. If not. get a bucket of salt water, a pump and a heater and just cycle it in there for 2-3 weeks, the die off will happen in there and any critters should survive. Also I'd use the water off a water change.
