Hi all,

Just bought an Oceanic 90 Tech and am interested in seeing what lights you would use on it. I want to go HQI Halides with no actinics since the opening is only 11.5 inch on this 18 inch wide tank. Height of tank is 25 inches and I will be doing all soft corals and a few LPS. Im thinking 150 or 175 watt 14k (Phoenix maybe). Would 250 watts be too much? Could I fry the softies? Also what fixtures would you recommend? I am not intersted in doing T5's so do not suggest them as I love the look of halides. Thanks in advance,

Mike

I'm not sure if the 150/175 would be enough, but I am sure that the 250 would not be too much. I ran the 250W Phoenix on my 90 and was very pleased with the color. No problems for my softies and LPS.
