I want to run carbon in a phosban (TLF) reactor and I was wondering how much carbon to use for a 100g water volume and how much flow should go through the reactor?

Also, I have a gallon of Black Diamond carbon that I've had for a couple years just sitting. Would it still be good to use?

i would fill it up. they recommed from 80-90 gph. the only way to know if it is working is to test before and test after. good luck

If it's been sealed in an air tight package, the carbon should be ok.

Yeah it's in it's original canister. Thanks for the replies.

I fill mine up about 2/3 and run it with a maxijet 1200.
