Hi,

I have a major problem that is beginning to take over my tank..

A month or so ago i noticed tiny little bubble looking things all over my LR, and thinking it was air bubbles, i let them be.

A week or so ago however, i decided to scrub it all off the rocks, try and syphon what i could off the sand bed (all this red stuff) and do a 25% water change.

all this has done now is that i have this ugly brownish slime algea growing off all surfaces in my tank (with the bubbles have grown much bigger all over the top and underside of the LR)

I believe the problem is probabely cyano...

How can i get rid of this problem? It is taking over my tank!

well what are your nitrates and phosphates? both are the cause of many algae(s) So my guess is that theres nitrates.
However, test for them at night. During the day its mostly gonna be in the algae, but it is released back into the tank at night.

Are they green? Probably bubble algae. Don't pop them! The brown stuff is diatoms. Getting rid of algae is limiting the nutrients it feeds on. What does your livestock constist of and how much do you feed? Do you have a skimmer and/or fuge?
