Import Coral

I always heard from LFS about limit of import coral is up for the year. We cannot get certain type of coral anymore for this year. Is that real? Someone in here must know more.

this is the first that i have heard, but i am interested. it is possible that certain countries only export so many coral pieces a year to protect their reefs. i imagine that those same species are available other places as well, though.

I do think I read something once about only a certain amount for the year on some corals. It might just be from certain countries.
I know I was reading about acan lords at the time and thought they lumped them all into 1 category like brains, acans, blastos.

I could be totally wrong lol but remember reading it somewhere in the LPS forum a long time ago.
