ASM Skimmer mod.

Is it possible to mod the ASM G3 skimmer from an in-sump re-circ skimmer into an external re-circ skimmer simillar to EuroReef's re-circ external skimmer?

If so, what would it take?

You can definately recirc it. Check http://asmskimmer.com

However making it external is much harder. You'd for sure have to silicone the cone to the body and replace the uniseal that comes with it. I'm not sure about everyone else, but all the 3 ASM's I have owned have all leaked from the cone/cup connection. That is not something you want to silicone on, but maybe you could get a better O-ring? Maybe, maybe not.
