Looking into getting moonlights for my 180g. I used to have blue ones on my 55, but have never seen what the white led light looks like at night, anyone have any pics?

Can anyone recommend a brand/model to be installed in a canopy?

I,ve seen white moonlights on a FOWLR-tank and it looked better than blue imo. I dont know how your animals would react too white ligth tho.

Cant help you with brands/models, sorry.

Sorry Jwheeler, but I don't have any pics. I have both the blue and the white. I installed the white last night actually. :)

I like the white a lot better. The blue is so dark that you really can't see anything. The white is nice if setup right. I try to fix mine where it hits the back wall. I only have a 90g so it might be different on your tank.

If you use white, then it would not be moon light ;)

White would not be moonlight?? I figured white would look more realistic than blue.

I like blue because it makes the corals pop. its not about lighting up the tank to me, its about making them glow; like a UV light.

white would of course accomplish the lighting the dank up better though.

if you get a point source moonlight, with the ripple effect... it is awesome looking IMO.
