Woke up today and have a 3/4 to 1 inch layer of "snow" in my sump. No kidding it looks exactly like snow. It seems to disolve when I disturb it. White and flakey. Any ideas?

Parameters

PH8.2
DKH 9
Calcium 380
Temp 80ish
SG 1.025.

Thanks!

Have you added calcium lately?

I added my 2 part this morning Kent Tech CB A and B. Everything in the tank (clams, fish, lps, softies) all look fine. Weird.

Did you test for the calcium levels before...or after, for that matter...you added the calcium additive?

This is refered to as percipitation. Usually this is a sign of a misbalane with the Ca and the Alk,

However, with your levels I don't know what it could be.

seems like the calcium isn't so high, assuming the 380 is what it was before the additives, that it would cause percipitation. Try referring to this to get your water's calcium/alkalinity into balance:
