open brain eating snails

anyone else have a problem with their open brains eating snails, i just had to remove 2 shells from the brain. also if you have had to perform a similar procedure how did you do it, i just sterilized some tweezers and removed them(trying not to tear the mouth, but did a little). any input would be appreciated.
