any of you ever used it?..
I've using it for awhile and the nitrate readings seems to be very weird..sometimes it shows 100 even when my levels are lower....and the alk readings are hard to read....

Compared to a Salifert kit it is like asking for a microscope kit for Christmas and getting a magnifying glass instead.

IMHO the red sea test kit is worthless. Mine always shows ammonia, even with fresh RO/DI water. I have never had a NO2 or NO3 reading, even during a cycle, and yes the alkalinity test is inaccurate and impossible to read. I switched most of my crucial test kits to salifert. They are pricey, but accurate for the most part. You'll have to see if anyone else posts on some other good brands of kits.

it's really good to know im not the only one having problems with it..lol...im buying some salifert kits today....

what i hate about the redsea kit is that it ALWAYS shows nitrates higher than it really is....hard to tell the colors of BOTH ammonia and nitrite tests...alkalanity tetsts are aweful....the only thing workin for me is the pH...

HAHA....so you think!!! See I had opposite probs. I never could get a nitrate or nitrite reading. Keep in mind, this is at all times during a cycle with uncured rock.

Doesn't that suck...I had to drive 15 minutes to the LFS last week for a second opinion on my NO2 NO3 and NH3 NH4 just to confirm that my cycle was complete. Thanks Red Sea!!!
