So today my clownfish heavily started taking to my floerpot coral. The coral seems to retract in the ares that the clownfish is touching it until the point where it's about 75% closed. Anyone with a clownfish in a Coral (Ie.) frogspawn or something similar to a flowerpot, seen the clownfish adopt the coral?

Are they just getting used to each other?

Should I buy an anemone, if so waht type is the easiest and less demanding?

Any input at all would be wonderful...

hi derek, the flowerpot will not tolerate the clown fish hosting in it. it will start receding, you need to purchase a sebae anemone, the clown will hopefully adapt to it, hope this helps...

Even if you add 10 anemones, clownfish can be quite resistant to making changes in hosting areas.

If the flowerpot is otherwise healthy, remove the clownfish from the tank.

One of them has to go. The clown or the flowerpot. The flowerpot will die because the clown will bug it to death.

Sorry about that.
