My girlfriend and I went to MACNA this Sunday to wander around the trade show floor. The first thing we noticed was that there wasn't a single aquarium there where the water was any less than crystal clear. How do they do it so quickly - set up a tank for a trade show and get the water that nice looking in such a short period of time?

Thanks for the reply!
I know what carbon is from my days of freshwater fish (20 years ago) but I don't know how it's used in SW. We just set up our first SW aquarium about 2 weeks ago - not striving to mimic the trade show, but we both marveled at the clarity of "recently set up tanks".
Anyway, yeah, some of those tanks were not glass, but a few of them were definitely glass. One that stands out the most was a 1/2 circle oceanic that was the grand prize in the raffle - gorgeous tank.
