I'm looking for someone who could make me a steel stand for my 40g aquarium out of square tube stock. Anyone know anybody who would be willing to do the work?

I perfer businesses, but I'd be willing to talk to individual people who have been doing it for a long time. I have no equipment to weld with, so I'm looking for someone to do everything for me.

The design is a simple cube, with angle braces in all of the corners except for the lower left and right sides so I can slide my sump under it from left to right.

Something along these lines:

Actually, I lied, here's better pictures of what I'd be looking for:

And yeah, I like the canopy on top idea. So if anyone knows someone or some place that's up to the challange, I'd appreciate the info!

Well, I had a PM about a welder, still waiting to hear back on that. I've been in touch with the guys at Northern Repair & Welding in Ringle. They're gonna give me a rough price here in a day or two since I don't have exact measurements.

Found someone at work who is a welder on the weekends, and use to work in a metal fab shop.

Thank you everyone who was asking around for me.

I think the smalest metal stand I would do paying for labor would be approximately 180g or more. The guys over at Northern Repair and Welding in Ringle quoted me $75/hour for labor, and said that it would be about the same amount of time regardless of how big it was just because it's the same number of cuts/welds, almost a fixed cost. The cost of metal would be of course more of the larger stand.

I'm off to look for a welder tonight, the guy from work gave me a shopping list of things to look for at home and then head off to the store with. Estimated cost of labor to fab was $300, estimated cost to buy equipment is $300.
