Just a quick question that I cant seem to find anywhere on the net. How does the galaxy coral grow. Does it spread across the piece of rock I place it on or will the base grow out etc. I dont want to lose a huge piece of rock if I ever want to frag it.
I just bought a small frag and want to know before I glue or anything :p
Thanks.

The ones common in the hobby are encrusting, so yes, it will cover a huge rock. I have a good size one that grew from a quarter size frag. There are aslo branching species that grow more like an acro, but they are not very common in the hobby.

i have a branching, and a encrusting.. the encrusting is a lot more aggressive than the branching.. my encrusting is also grown form a quarter sized frag, placed it on a shell and it covered it..
