Hi
does anyone floss the return flow back to the tank? Can anyone suggest how i do it as the return keeps spitting small particles into the main tank.
Its flossed leaving the tank via the down pipe but I think it needs a little more.

maybe a filter sock on the intake of the return pump. Make sure its not restricting your flow though.

If you are using a sump, try using the floss in the baffle before the water enters the return chamber.

I've used bought ones, and I've used sports socks. The sports socks work better for me. Make sure you wash them thoroughly before you use them. Putting a new one on made my skimmer go nuts.
Be careful about restricting flow in a sump. Restrict it too much in the wrong spot will cause a flood. Don't restrict flow into your pump... it's bad for the pump and there are better solutions for micro-bubble problems.
