I feed with frozen food. I use a turkey baster with my pumps off. My shrimp look like they want the food but the fish really eat most of it before it gets to the shrimp.

In an attempt to get them to eat I have been overfeeding for a few days and I already notice an algae bloom.. Can I assume my shrimp will fend for themselves.?

I have a skunk cleaner and a red blood shrimp
my fish are a clown and a green chromis

i usually hand feed mine everyother day. but they can do a great job of finding the food.

I hand feed mine because I like to, but they fend for themselves anyway. They eat anything that's "meat": shrimp, clam, squid, blackworms, mysid, fish, maybe even hot dogs.

If you already use a turkey baster it should be easy to target feed them first before the fish.

Just remember they are scavengers and do not really need you to feed them the fact that you're adding food in the tank is more than enough.
