View Full Version : which photometers let you test saltwater

I have found a couple of different manufactuers of photometers like Hanna and YSI but about half of the reagents can't test saltwater. Can anyone tell me the other brands that are used for testing saltwater.

I know some will say just use the testing kits but I would like to have exact numbers. I also am talking about splitting the cost of the photometer with a fellow reefer that is color blind. He has to get others to "read" his test. So any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

I use a Hanna Low Range Phosate meter, but I'm not sure which other you can use with saltwater.

The photometers that I have looked at allows you to test between 25 and 35 different things. Just about half of the test are voided because of the saltwater. Obviously, that doesn't work for reefkeepers. They also cost around $750 to $1000.
