This is a question about how many shrimps I can have and what kinds I should have.

In the 20 gallon long tank right now I have one peperment shrimp. I got him on the suggestion of the LFS because they eat aip(whatever that anenome is) and he did that pretty quick.

I would like to get a cleaner shrimp. The LFS has skunk cleaner shrimps and fire cleaner shrimps. I like the way the fire shrimps look better than the skunks. Is one better at cleaning than the other?

I would also like to get a yellow watchman goby and a pistol shrimp for him to hang out with.

Should I choose only one of these shrimps to have in the tank? Two? All three? I don't mind taking the peppermint back to the LFS if there is a better choice.

below I'll post more about my tank in case you need it.

the only fish in the tank so far is an O. Clown.
I have about 10 hermits of various species.
2 turbo snails
6 margarita snails
3 nasarius snails
a green sea urchin
and a lettus nudibranch.

in the future I would like to have a BTA for the clown, and a couple easy to care for corals and possibly one more fish besides the clown and goby.

In my experience the skunk cleaners are more inclined to clean than the others. I have three skunks and they will all clean.

While fire and peppermint shrimp may "clean" on occasion.
The skunk's live to clean.

okay, skunk is the best cleaner. Check.

now, can I have more than one shrimp in my tank? can I have a skunk and a pistol? how about the skunk, pistol, and the pepermint? I'm assuming my tank is too small for all three, but I don't really know.

I'm not real sure what kind of bioload they put out, but I'd probably try it. I have a pistol and 2 gobies in a 10 with no problems.
