I have heard mention of using Iodine in a tank for live rock. Is this necessary and if so what is the purpose. Should I be doing anything else for my love rock?

My tank is a 35G FOWLR in cycling. No fish or cleanup crew yet.

I dont know what it would be used for, but its not nessesary i know.

Just a side question, but did you use cured or uncured rock?

I've never used it. Basically I do nothing to care for the LR.

Its cured except for one peice (about 4 or 5lbs) that is being used to create some ammonia while cycling.

Sorry, I thought I heard this somewhere. I might be on crack.

lol its all good ;) Basically all you do for live rock "care" is just have flow on it, and "maybe" feed the tank every now ad then...thats about it (oh and keep the temps good and keep the sg good..but the stuff on it is pretty lenient on that too)
