How are people placing their rock in the tank?
Are you using the back glass for support?
Or should I pile it in the center, leaving space in the front and back for cleaning?

it doesnt really matter where you put it...just where you like it mostly. I have a few pieces on the back glass (leaning against it) but they're not really large and i woudlnt put large pieces like that, or just heavy ones for that matter...but having them at the back is fine..just dont have the big ones actually supported by the glass.

I have avoided stacking rock against the back (and 3 sides) of my tank, the two reasons for this are to improve water flow round the rock and tank, and it get away from the 'wall of rock' look.

I guess it also increases space for placing corals.

well like i said, i've got a few of the pieces going from the main pile and leaning against the back glass..i dont really get how that would create the "wall of rock" look...but also if you like that look, go for it. I personally dont like when all the rock is perfectly flat against the back...but i do like when you get the rock to be mainly built up in the back and then have a few of the larger pieces jutting out (specially the ones down low...then i like branches hanging out over the rest)
