Can someone direct me to the forum that has photos.
I bought some type of toad stool coral and would like more information on it - but need to identify it first.
Thanks.

This would help you be able to identify Soft Corals the best.

From the sounds of it being a "Toadstool" it might possibly be from the genus Sarcophyton. If you post a picture it would help.

That looks like a good book.
I will try to get a picture. I don't know if it is doing ok or if what it is doing is normal.
When I first brought it home - it had green tentacles coming from the top of the "toadstool". That was 2 weeks ago. Now - for 2 days it has not had any tentacles and the top is smooth like a toadstool.
I need to find information on it to see if I have it in a less desirable area of my tank or if is sick.
Thanks again.

You might want to look around in the Soft Coral forum and the Reef Discussion forum. It has a plethora of information there for you. It almost sounds like the leather is shedding. They do this from time to time.
