whats the best way to cure rock?.

"Best" is such a loaded term... better to use "good", or "viable".
I cured my rock in my main tank before I put anything else in it. Works great for me, because I could see it happening. In measuring the parameters of the tank, I was learning about all sorts of stuff.
If you already have an established tank and want to add more rock, this isn't a good option though. Then you basically have to set up a seperate "tank" and let your rock cure in it. Most people use a trash can, or a rubbermaid container rather than an aquarium. You also don't need all the bells and whistles that a full aquarium has. Since you have an aquarium all set up, you can suply your curing rock with water from the tank to control ammonia.
