Ok, I am looking at my Trumpet coral and I see some of the heads are shrunken and it looks like the flesh is pulling back. I thought I would freshen them up a bit with a small Iodine dip. Well after the dip there is a bunch of white starfish sitting in the bottom of the bowl. I did not add any starfish so they must be a hitchhiker of sorts from the LR. I did not see any of them on the coral itself. I will toss in a few pics. I guess what I was wanting to know is if these starfish are literaly eating my coral. This is the only coral affected, or has been affected since the tank was stated over 2 years ago. I know a possibility might be that the starfish are just cleaning the recessed area of any residual "meat". Here are water parameters.

Salinity = 1.025-1.026
Temp = 81.8 F
PH = 8.4
Ammonia = 0
Nitrite = 0
Nitrate = 0
Calcium = >500 (I know a bit high)
KH = 9
MG = 1400
Iodine = 0
Iodide = .08

Thanks,
Eric

Pictures 2,3, and 4 look like mini-brittle stars a good thing and they should not cause you problems. Can't make out the first picture.

Sorry, the first pic is a bit blurry, but it is of the flesh pulling back.
