I have these translucent small critters on my glass. There must be hundreds. Are these good for my aquarium or should i be worried. I would take a picture, but all you would see is something that looked like sand. What is this?

are they flat, or like little bugs?

could be copepods or flat worms, google both and see if thats it.

Sounds like copepods (under magnification, they look like little crabs) or possibly amphipods (sllightly larger than copepods, look like little shrimp). In either case, they are very good for your tank. Several kinds of fish enjoy snacking on them, and so their population usually isn't as high as we might like.
