I have a kenya tree, green finger leather, fox, and a torch. What is the purpose of iodine? Is it necessary? Does it come naturally in a tank with live rock, sand, instant ocean salt? Would it benefit my tank???

I have a kenya tree that is about a foot and a half tall and I have to cut it back all the time...

I have never added iodine. The only thing you need to add for is alk and calcium

I do not believe that iodine dosing benefits any organisms that we keep.

I discuss it here:
