View Full Version : What Can You Tell Me About this New Coral?

I was at a LFS today and they had this for sale, unmarked and pretty cheap. I thought it was an echino, but they said it was something else. It just went into the tank so it is a little stressed so the pic isn't that great:

What is is? What kind of light? Feeding? Corals it can't mix with?

Thanks a lot. I know I should have asked before buying, but I thought I had a find and didn't want to miss out.

With the eyes facing the rim like that, I would say you have a Mycedium. One of several genus commonly known in the trade as a Chalice.

Oxypora or Mycedium, but leaning towards Mycedium. Not the fastest of growers but pretty hardy.

any tips or ideas for keeping mycedium?
