Hello all,
I need to replace the bulbs on a used MH system I got a while back and would appreciate some advice.
I have a 75 gal tank with 3 X 250W PFO ballasts. The setup came with a 250W Radium-Blue center bulb (on for 12 hrs/day), and what I think are 6500K Ushio bulbs on each end (on for 3 hrs/day).
I just replaced the center bulb, the one on all day, with a Hamilton 14K bulb. I need to replace the outer bulbs and not sure what I should go with. Maybe even getting another 14K bulb and putting both on the ends, then a 20K for the bluer light in the center.
I keep some softies, but mainly LPS and SPS, plus a clam. I obviously don't supplement with any PC or VHO lighting and I like the blue color warmth, but also want good coral growth and health.
Before I buy any more bulbs, I would greatly appreciate opinions on the best bulb mix for what I'm trying to do.
