thinking of adding sand back into my bb tank

Im thinking of putting a dsb back into my tank

My tank has been bb for about 6 months
and for the last 6 weeks Ive been battling a never ending nitrate battle they will just not go away!!

I do water changes every friday or saturday and they drop to 5ppm
but 7 days later there back up to 10ppm

there is nothing on my rocks or on the bottom of the tank I have no Idea what is causing this but its driving me crazy

my skimmer is an asm g-3 on a 90 gallon

I like perfect water params and having 10ppm trates just bugs the hell out of me

Can you do a dsb in your fuge/sump?

I did bb with no nitATES run a fuge. Also use chato in the fuge and run the light 24/7. Thats what I did and never had nitrates

I think that a DSB in a fuge or remotly would probably solve the problem.

yeah I was thinking of running a remote dsb in a 5 gallon bucket

then if I have probs later I can change out the dsb
