My LFS suggested that I add Ecosystem Reef Solution and Aragmilk to my tank to replace trace elements and increase calcium. Has anyone used these additives? If so what is your opinion.

I am nervous to add any addiives because my params are good and I have heard horror stories about the imbalance caused by some additives.
Intereseted in your thoughts. Thanks.

There is not need to add such additives. Not only that but there have been a number of problems with additives like Aragomilk and Purple-Up raising the Alk and Ca++ to high suddenly.

The Ecosystem Reef Solution does not tell me what is in the bottle and until they do it is a no-no :D

Aragamilk clouds the tank like crazy. I think it is made from ground aragonite and made into this suspension. I am not sure, but I think the particle size is way too big to be of any use to corals and that most of the product just eventually settles into the sand.

Check out these articles on calcium/alk.:

and this one on adding straight calcium carbonate (which Aragamilk contains):

Aragamilk is not a useful calcium and alkalinity additive system. I detail that here:

Calcium Carbonate as a Supplement
