I was wondering if anyone out there dips their corals prior to adding them to their systems. If so what do you use and at what strength? One of the guys at the LFS uses Lougols iodine as a dip but he couldn`t give me a strength or exposure time. Also I noticed that Seachem makes a "off the shelf" coral dip. I was wondering if anyone has tried it, and if so what were the results.

I've used the SeaChem dip to rid a plating Montipora of nudibranchs. Worked well. The usual Lugol's dose is 5ml/4L of water (so 5ml per gallon). The SeaChem labels suggests you can do 10ml/4L in "special circumstances".

The dips i uses are Interceptor for RB, for 6 hr at 50 mg in 2.5 gals of SW. TMPCC for AEFW at the recomended doseage.
