Hi all,

Still ironing out the kinks.

I've got a set of 2 1W LEDs for moon lights.

I'd like to use the Moon timer, but the diming makes them flicker.

Is there a way to use IF MOON, but without having the dimming?

Thanks!

I'm trying:

MON$-A08
dmy&-A10

if Moon 000/000 then dmy ON
if dmy = ON then MON ON
if dmy = OFF then MON OFF

This works if I manually set the ON / OFF. If I set it to Auto, the moon lights do not change state.

Any ideas?

doh.

By sheer luck I put them in port 8. I didn't realise that only that port dimmed & that it has issues...

I switched my heaters off A-07 for the moon lights & went back to the simple If MOON 000/000 then MON ON.

Are the heaters okay in the 8th outlet? or is something going to bite me there?

Cheers!

I think the #8 outlet only dims when the IF Moon statement is used. Otherwise it is a regular outlet...I have not read otherwise.

Port 8 is the only dimmer port and only dims with the moon statement.

If you use lighting on other ports with if moon statement it only does on and off, no dimming...

Since port 8 isn't working well, is there any reason to use it for moonlights? I was just planning to have them on or off.

It seems to be working fine since switching the moonlights to #7 from #8, so as long as the moon lights are in the first 7 slots I think it's good.

The heaters turned on briefly this morning around 6am & temp is staying where I want it too, so far so good with the heaters in #8.

Cheers!

Can you use led moonlights for the moon timer function? Will they still dim?

No LEDs will not dim, unless you specifically get dimmable ones.
