Last week I bought 2 clownfish, after i acclimated them I put them in my 55g at the exact sametime, they both where about the same size, but when I came home form work the next day one of them were dead, the dead one probably wasnt dead for long, b/c I could see where his fin was tore up buy the one that was still alive! So i was going out tomm to buy one that is alittle smaller then the one that in there now, will they pair up?

Same thing happened to me. I think it's the stress from aclimation that makes the females ornary, so they kill their mates. I think adding a smaller male should be fine.

You could have had 2 females.
Get as small of a clown as you can to pretty much gaurantee it's a male.

Male. Get the smallest you can.
