Hi,
I am a sophomore in HS and I am taking a college level course in zoology. I have a test coming up soon, and it involves naming the phylum, class, order, family, genus, and species (scientific) names.
There are a few I am missing, and I was wondering if anyone could offer me some help as to identifying the following polyps:
Zoanthid polyps (I know its pretty general, but its all my teacher said)
Star Polyps
Ricordea polyps (not sure if its the right spelling or word, his writing is difficult to read)

also, I will post in the other forums about corals and anenomes (sp?)

thanks a bunch

I can help with a few, maybe...

I thought this website might help.

And this one specifically for Zoanthus.

Zoanthus are as below
Phylum-Cnidaria
Class Anthozoa -subclass Hexacorallia (Zoantharia)
Family-Zoanthidae
Genus-Several including Palythoa, Zoanthus, (currently) Protopalythoa, as well as several other less common genus in the trade.
Species-This is not as up to date as many would like an dwill likely change soon (as well as the potential for Protopalythoa to be absorbed into the Palythoa genus). The above link will give an idea of different species.

Here is a link on Ricordia.
