We recieved this as a gift from someone breaking down thier tank.

I just want to make sure it's not a "bad" type of anemone.

Thanks all

ouch. glad someone new has it as it needs your help!!!
a bubble tip nem

its bleached and possibley starving.

what is your lighting?

start feeding it, tiny things like mysis and better yet, soke it in selcon first. (vitamins)

when it starts looking better btas really do great with feeding them silverslides. (tiny pieces for yours, for now)

check out www.karensroseanemones.com for alot of helpful information.

these nems like to stick theyre foot in crevices of rock, so place it somewhere in your rockwork and it'll move till it finds a spot it likes

Yeah I think it looks like a BTA. Like stated above try feeding it a little. If it is stuck where it is now dont remove it, it will move on its own when ready.

Actually this little bugger has already moved twice. I just let him do his thing. I have it under three 6 foot VHO's, the tank it came out of had 4.

If it is an issue of starvation (which I think it is)...how often should I try to feed it?

Thanks all

for now id try once a day or every other tiny bits. once its better, a nice chunk every three days or so
