This may be a stupid question but will a Flame Angel get along in a reef?

They are reef safe, but some people say they may eat zoas. Mine does great in the reef so far. Doesn't arm anything.

You are going to hear all kinds of answers from people because the behavior of this fish in the reef tank is not always 100% predictable.
Putting this fish in a reef tank is a gamble and you just have to be willing to give them a shot and take what happens if you want one in a reef. You may have a fish that you have to take out of your tank because it nips everything. A lot of people put them in their tanks and don't have any real problems with them. I had one in my reef and he didn't bother anything but I put him in their knowing that I may have to pull him out. It was worth it to me because I think they are pretty enough to be worth the risk they can pose.

I've had one for 8 months without any problems with zoas, LPS, or SPS.
