I am encouraging reefers in our club to set up thier own quarantine tank. If I can show them what you guys have, it would be very helpful.
Thanks.

That seems pretty extreme for a q-tank:)

Yeah well it looks a bit different now. I stole the skimmer and small fluidised media reactor and put that in my new predator tank.
So it is just the fluidised sand bed filter and the little sump...

I dont have any pics but close your eyes and picture a 20 gallon tank empty........ Now picture a aquaclear 30 HOB filter hanging on one of my established tanks........... I just take the twenty, pull water from the tank while doing a water change and throw the AC 30 onto it when needed. The filtration is always cycled and I use the filling of the twenty to do a water change in the established system. If any param's are off in the display tank Ill use fresh water for the QT. This way its not running all the time but can be set up in 15 minutes if I find a cool new fish.

Here's mine. It's a 55 (48x18x20, I think). There are 5 fish in it now due to a Powder Brown (RIP) that brought Ich into the display. These 5 are doing well though. The water is a little low because I siphoned up a bunch of stuff last night but wanted to let the new water mix until today before I topped off. And it's a little yellow because I added Maracyn 2 yesterday.
It has a pair of HOB filters (just sponges, no carbon), a powerhead, a heater, and some PVC.
