Hi All,
I was wondering if these fish are reef safe and whitch one would be good for an sps/lps tank with shrimps, snails, crabs. I intended to get one for eating flatworms/worms in all.
Thanks

i know leopard wrasses are reef safe, they won't harm corals or inverts,,, but i'm not sure about their flatworm eating desires..... HTH

An excellent wrasse would be a 6 line or a fairy wrasse

fairy's wont touch flatworms, theyre planktivores. Sixlines will be really aggressive with other wrasses. Leopards are generally an "expert only" type fish.
The easiest/cheapest flatworm eater is probably Halicoeres Crysus (yellow coris wrasse). Other wrasses of the halicoeres genus will eat flatworms too, but some get very large, some get aggressive, etc, you need to do the research.
Read up on Leopard Wrasse's before you purchase one - they are a gorgeous fish with finicky diets (similar to Mandarin) that you should be sure your aquarium will support. There are alot of reef safe wrasse to choose from - depends what you like/want (carpenter, radiant, exquisite, fairy wrasses of various types, blue sided, etc). I just picked up a Clown Fairy that is reef safe and very colorful.

Lol I did some reading and they both say different things about the (yellow coris wrasse). Marine Depot, diet = (amphipods & foraminiferans), live feeder shrimp, worms. Dr. Fosters & Smith, diet = will eat fireworms and pyramidellid snails, protecting corals and clams. In addition, it may eat feather dusters, wild shrimp, tubeworms, and flatworms. It seems as the yellow coris would be the choice for me but then again I am not sure about the feather duster eating. I have a few nice feather dusters in my tank that i would like to keep alive lol.
Thanks all

My best choice for getting rid of bristtleworms, etc. was an orchid dottyback. If you have cleaners, he can be added after. Secertive, but became bolder with time. Eats brine and even nori !!
