Hi everyone,
I purchased a percula clown over the weekend and he died the next day. When I got home from the LFS I noticed he had a red looking cut mark on his side. Stupid me thought he would heal so acclimated him and put him in the tank. His body color I noticed the next day started fading quickly and he died. Heres a picture of what he looked like early the day he died.http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m1/jdeb101/DSC01740.jpg

So Im unsure what was wrong with him, some other forums said looks like brook??

But my main concern now is....do I have to wait before I add another fish to my tank? I dont have any livestock in it(besides 3 turbo snails) and he died in a seperate tank(if that matters).

THanks!!

From what I can see from that image, Brooklynella is a definite possibility. See here for more on this disease,

Leave the tank without fish for 8 weeks. In that amount of time you can set up that other tank into a qt tank, get two little clowns, and a more mature disease free tank. Plus more time to think and read. QT from here on out and you will be much happier with the hobby.
