Calfo mentions in his Book of Coral Propogation that a rotary saw (dremel) blade can be used on fungia or they can be broken against a hard edge. I'd assume its the same for these.

I have seen a wet tile saw used with saltwater instead of fresh water for keeping the blade cool.

IIRC Calfo mentions in his book you can litterally drop these on the floor for fragmentation there so resilient.
