I hate ich

Well I have not posted in months. Everything was going great in my 55 gallon fowlr then I made a stupid mistake. I added a double saddle back butterfly fish and with it came ich. So lesson learned QUARINTINE!

In the end I lost 3 fish costing totaling $110.


A few months have past now and the tank went fallow for about 6 weeks.

Newbies do not make my mistake I knew better and did it anyway but never again.

I had an ich outbreak too..lost about 300 in fish!!!!!
So NOW I soak all my fishies food in garlic and vitamin C, alternating. and have the ich meds from nosickfish.com just in case. So far everyone is good..keeping my fingers crossed.

I'm hoping i'm not going to lose anything else, cleaner shrimp is actually cleaning ich of my tang :)

Yeah, I could use some suggestions, too. I just introduced a Pyramid Butterfly into my 150XH reef, AFTER three weeks of QT with no signs of ich. After almost a week in tank... you guessed it. What's worse, it has spread to my chevron tang. I can try to remove the B/F (I'll never catch the chevron), and treat with hyposalinity, but what can I do for the display?
