Would there be any advantages or disadvantages to putting larvae tanks in a large plastic "tub" and having the tub provide uniform heat to all tanks? Doing so would remove one item from each tank.
I think it's easier to just heat the fishroom at that point, but I'm sure that would otherwise work provided the tub had some circulation in addition to the heater.

Depending on the configuration it could be awkward to work in.
Are you talking about nets or actual glass/plastic tanks ? Matt makes a good point, circulating the water to ensure uniform heating could be problematic.
I think all things considered I'd go with separated larvae tanks and heating. I have raised the heat in my fishrm to 78, so the heaters only have a short heating range needed to go to.

I ran seperate heaters in all of my tanks as each pair and each species respond differently to different temps. I used temp. to regulate fry growth rate and feeding rate also.
