Want to get a clown trigger when I start my new 55 gallon reef. Any ideas on tank mates, cleanup crew, etc.?

Basically, he'll consider any tankmate you wish to provide him as food.... eventually.

First a 55 gallon is way to small... Second clown trigger and reef don't really mix.. Lastly clown triggers should be kept single unless in a very large tank with fish close in size and aggressiveness.

yeah, i wouldn't put a clown trigger in with corals unless you are looking to get rid of them.

Here's some good reading for you: http://www.wetwebmedia.com/marine/fishes/triggers/index.htm

Unfortunately, triggers aren't generally a good choice for reefs and/or 55g tanks.
