I was just curious about those ‘flush kits’ for RO/DI units. It was an additional accessory when I purchased my RO/DI unit. I didn’t see the need for it at the time so I didn’t buy it.

Does anyone have any instructions, diagrams, links or pics as to how to install a flush kit? I think I have all of the fittings, but not positive.

I was just reading this link:

They say that 'flush kits' are practically worthless to begin with, so I think it may be a waist of time.

Everyone has their own opinion but we think they do work and are beneifical and can extend the life of your membrane. Since you have the parts what do you have to lose. We recommend flushing at the end of each water making session or two to three times a week if you have an auto system. Flushing only takes a minute at the most.

Yeah it's a pretty simple system. All it does is bypass the flow reducer

Oh that is simple. I never actually saw how they work or where they were installed. It turns out I don't have the Ys, but I have Ts.

Thefilterguys, I I just bought a bunch of replacement elements from you guys! RO/DI is working great again. I looked around on your site (for flush kit info) and didn't see any. I then noticed that they were listed as 'add ons' on your RO/DI Units page.

Thanks for the info guys. I'll give it a try.
