trying again

I have a 55g that I'm dusting off and want to start over correctly. It will eventually be a sump for a 165 gal that's a lot dustier. What kind of lighting should I get? The tank is going to start out fowlr but will become a reef when I finish the rest of the basement. 2 250w metal halides have been suggested already, do I need actinics or any other light besides those 2 bulbs?

Hmm 2 - 250's + actinics is alot of light for a skinny tank but if your going to do that get a 2 bulb T-5 retro for actinics and you should have some serious light in your 55.......maybe a little overkill though.
