What size need this Trigger be?

Here is a link to a Fuscus Trigger in full adult color. Fuscus are said to grow up to 22". What size does a Fuscus need to be before it will become this color?

Couldn't help you out there, but I'd imagine a 22" BL would need a monster tank for tankmates to survive "long-term"

Changing patterns and color has more to do with environment, maturity and diet more than size; I've seen them begin to change at 4-5''s and others still possessing juvenile patterns at 10''s.
