I am running an eheim 1260 for my return...I know the fittings are metric, I have found infor on the 1262 fittings but nothing on the 1260. I need to put a 1" fitting on the return portion of the pump...Anyone done this and can tell me what is needed

AFAIK, 1260 and 1262 use the same fittings. 3/4" MPT will screw right in. A tad lose since they are metric, Wrap the threads with some Teflon tape. I use sched 80 fittings since the threads are longer. Dont overtighten.

From the homework online that I have done its actually a 5/8" fitting....I dont know if this is right or not but that is what I have seen

Ok...I just figured out the confusion...I am looking at a 1060 which is now the 1260.....The problem has been solved on the model (they look exactly the same) now I need to figure out what to do about the outlet.....they are not the same on this model

If I want to hard plumb the return, I need to get rid of the o-ring fitting and switch for a normal schedule 80 MFT? Isn't that o-ring pretty important?
