Is this an either or concept? I started dripping kalk several months ago. Does getting a reactor negate the need for dripping kalk? From what I have been reading, it just seems as more of a convenience issue. Thoughts...

Either may be enough alone, but in high calcification tanks, limewater alone may not be adequate. The rector alone can be fine, but may have a low pH, which using both will help with, and a fair number of folk use the combo on heavy SPS tanks.
I use limewater alone.
