I could not get the CSS 220 that I had to skim anything, just plain would not work. For the money you are going to spend on the CSS models you could get a RO NW 150 for a few bucks more. Its in another league from the CSS.

I had the CSS 220 on my 92g and it woked great.I got the deal of the century on a Euroreef CS8-3 for 200 bucks and couldn`t pass it up so I got rid of the CSS.I thought for the money it did a great job.If money is an issue it`s a good skimmer IMO.

I have a coralive SS 65g, and it works great! Very adjustable, but it does take a little bit to start foaming. When I stir up the tank or scrape the glass, it foams like mad for about an hour. I threw out half a cup of really nasty smelling, dark brown skimmate. I have it set for a fairly dry skim and that was about 2 weeks worth on my 29g system. I run mine on the overflow section of my sump in HoB mode.

I love my skimmer, and it works very well for me. I can't speak for others though.

Some people continue to fight the microbubble and noise with their CSS skimmers, check out my posts in this thread how I eliminated both in one shot with the use of an air pump:
