I'm in the process of hooking up my RO under my sink and have a question regarding the connection of this self piercing saddle valve. My water line comes in and into the shut off valve under the sink and then change to a braided hose that goes to the faucet. I don't think I can hook this up at the braided hose. I was think about hooking this up before the valve but don't know if there's any downfall if it's before the valve. Also, the piping that comes in is PVC. Can I use this self piercing valve on PVC?
thanks,

You would be better off using this type of 3/8 x 3/8 x 1/4 connection which you can find on our fittings page. It threads onto the shutoff valve as pictured. The shipping and handling runs $5 priority mail and we refund the excess.

Cool, that's exactly what I should have ordered. What do you mean by refund the excess?
