maxi mod magnet-anyone try this alternative?

The website now has magnets for sale that will hold these mods and not look as obtrusive has the plastic hanging devices. 2 problems...they are over 30 bucks each and I have never seen them in stock. I thought about buying a medium size mag float for $10 and crazy gluing it to the maxi. Essentially, wouldn't that accomplish the same thing? I don't think it's powerful enough to dislodge from the crazy glue. Anyone ever try this or think it's a bad idea?

It's done all the time. Most go with the large mag float, though, I think.

Is this true? A medium won't hold it? It seems to be more than strong enough to me...

i have a small magnet holding a mj900 on 4mm glass

its not very good, i wish i went with the medium/large
